Beth
Rohde
Gifted and versatile, Beth Rohde has enjoyed
a wide-ranging career in music. After graduating from Berklee College
of Music, Beth performed in Boston with "Satin Doll" (Boston's
busiest events band) and with "Beijo do Brasil". In 1993,
she relocated to Minneapolis where she soon became a favorite on
the Twin Cities jazz scene. Her solo CD was in heavy rotation on
Minneapolis' leading jazz stations, and Beth was regularly featured
on Minnesota Public Radio. She maintained a very busy schedule performing,
recording jingles (Radio Concepts, Cartoon Network, etc.) and directing
the voice department at McNally Smith College. In 1997 Ms. Rohde
moved to Los Angeles where she married Matt Rohde and attended USC
on a full-tuition scholarship sponsored by the Ella Fitzgerald Foundation.
Beth completed her Master's degree, and taught in USC's jazz studies
department until she became a parent in 1999. In 2000, Beth was
hired as the lead female vocalist with Les Brown's Band of Renown
who she performed with regularly through 2007. She continues a regular
performance schedule, and she is an in-demand, inspiring teacher
who specializes in teaching career-bound singers. |
